Severe nasal deformities post-rhinoplasties elsewhere

This patient presented with severe nasal deformities post-rhinoplasties elsewhere. She was understandably depressed by the condition of her nose: The nasal tip was pinched, scarred and asymmetric , the dorsum shapeless, the nostrils retracted.

I carried out a tertiary open rhinoplasty that involved release of scar tissue, reconstruction of the tip cartilages, tip elevation and grafting, refinement of the nasal bridge. The procedure took over 4 hours.

6 months after operation

Results are shown at splint removal at 1 week, 6 weeks after surgery and 6 months after surgery. Note the time taken for swelling to settle and the near-final result to be seen.
